Communications & Events Coordinator

The NLWC is seeking a creative, organized Communications & Events Coordinator to help expand awareness of our mission and programs. This position plays a key role in communications, marketing, media relations, and event coordination to engage our community and strengthen support for NLWC’s work protecting the island’s land and water resources.


Start Date:  January 2026


Key Responsibilities Include:

Developing and implementing communications and marketing strategies • Coordinating and generating website, newsletters, social media, and press outreach materials • Designing digital and print materials • Planning and executing community and fundraising events


Qualifications:

2–4 years of experience in communications, marketing, or event coordination • Excellent writing, editing, and design skills • Strong organizational and project management abilities • Nonprofit and/or environmental experience a plus
