Calling all Water Sport Enthusiasts and Nantucket Lovers!
Registration is now
OPEN for this year's Clean Water Classic! This exciting fundraising event is open to all
experienced or beginner
stand-up paddle boarders, kayakers, and canoeists aged 16 and up! Come out and
paddle for a purpose with us at Francis Street Beach Saturday June 6th, 2026!
Fundraising and Prizes
Proceeds from the event will support the NLWC’s Water Fund, a fund established in 2017 that is dedicated to supporting NLWC's water quality conservation efforts, such as our eelgrass monitoring and restoration, PFAS research and advocacy, and youth education programs.
In addition to the event registrant fee, all of our participants
are encouraged to raise additional funds in advance of the event, from their own sponsors.
There will be
prizes awarded to teams and individuals who
paddle the fastest and to those who
raise the most funds! Participants can fundraise using our JustGiving page,
follow the link below to begin raising funds now!
Event Details
Check-in for participants begins at
7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6th at Francis Street Beach (next to SEA Nantucket Kayak). The required safety briefing will be held at 7:45 am. We will launch from there, and return to the same location for
refreshments.
Parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Town parking lot and on the Washington Street extension.
In Case of Windy Weather
Please note, as this is a weather-dependent fundraising event -- the date may be postponed to June 7th at 7:30am or cancelled. In the case of cancellation due to winds or extreme weather, your participant fee and contributions will become an entirely tax-deductible donation.
Paddle for a Purpose!
