Annual Meeting

Two Islands, One Conversation:

How Nantucket & Martha’s Vineyard can collaborate to address the islands’ environmental challenges and protect our waters

The Nantucket Land & Water Council invites you to join us for our 52nd Annual Meeting on Tuesday, August 4th at 5pm at The Nantucket Hotel. The Annual Meeting will begin with a business meeting: opening remarks from the NLWC Board President, Lucy Leske, a treasurer's report by NLWC Board Treasurer, Laurel Langworthy, a vote on this year's governance and nominations, and a reflection of the year led by NLWC Executive Director, Emily Molden.

From there, the evening will turn towards an engaging discussion with
Emily Molden, Executive Director of the Nantucket Land & Water Council (NLWC), and Samantha Look, Executive Director of the Vineyard Conservation Society (VCS), facilitated by Scott Horsley, Principal of Horsley Consulting and expert in water resources management. An audience Q&A will follow, with a reception to close out the evening.

As both NLWC and VCS advance our advocacy and environmental research work, collaboration across our communities is vital to our work. Engaging with experts like Scott Horsley gives us deeper insight into how to protect the water resources both Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard depend on.
